Optical Chapel

Optical Chapel is a contemplative space built inside the experience of too much information.

Too much information.

My practice has focused on perception and the biological and cultural factors that shape how each of us constructs a shared reality. I made Optical Chapel as a place to pause inside that density.

Build the space.

The installation used 11,000 4 × 6 photographs and took 135 hours to construct. It was shown in The F Stops Here during FotoFest 2012.
