Photograph the city.

HouWall began with a broad look at how people live, work, and play across Greater Houston. I led the project and photography, working across more than 150 locations.

The result was more than 300 photographs, made to be seen together rather than as a single fixed view of the city.

Build it to change.

Each photograph was printed as a magnet and installed on a metal wall. The images can be moved, replaced, and rearranged as Houston changes.

Make it together.

I worked with photographers Paul R. Davis, Eric Sauseda, and Alex Bierens de Haan. DocuCenter produced the printed work with Chris Sonnier managing the print project.
