The Change Lab
The Change Lab organizes research, local resources, and ways to participate so people can find where to begin.
Find a way in.
The work starts with a practical problem: someone cares about an issue but does not know where to begin.
The process map connects a culture guide, community pathways, specific services, and different levels of engagement. It turns a broad concern into choices a person can actually make.
Build the resource around the question.
The current site gathers guides, organizations, research, events, opportunities, and local information. People can start with a focus area, learn what is already available, and decide whether they want to learn, act, or lead.
Community Exchange is part of that work: a free, neutral guide to civic life in Houston connecting services, organizations, elected officials, policies, and community assets.
Bring it into the room.
Dinners for Democracy and Coffee for Change give people a structure for talking with friends, neighbors, colleagues, and students.
The digital platform and the table serve the same purpose: help someone take the next useful step.
